Velocity Micro is a company that’s famous for its custom PCs, but now they’ve attacked the tablet segment, obviously with an Android model. The latest such product is the Velocity Micro T408, that recently received the FCC approval.
We’re dealing with an 8 inch slate here, that features a 1GHz Samsung Cortex A8 processor, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and doesn’t support Android Market for app downloads. Velocity Micro redirects users to the preinstalled Amazon Appstore, though… The company has yet to confirm a release date for the T408, but the tablet will most likely retail for $250.
E-tailers are already taking preorders for this device, fresh out of the FCC. Will you get one?
