Texas Instruments wants a piece of the tablet pie and it’s not afraid to say it, so it’s no surprise that they’ll launch the Blaze slate this August. TI created the OMAP4 computing solution specifically for the Blaze platform, that’s reconfigurable, with WLAN, GPS, Bluetooth and FM connectivity available on the device.

The tablet incorporates a 10.4 inch XVGA LCD touchscreen display, 2 USB ports, 1GB DDR2 memory, 32GB eMMC, an OMAP4430 1GHz application and multimedia processor iC and we found out that the device also supports external pico DLP projectors.

HDMI compatibility is among the specs, together with multitouch capability, memory card slots, a 3.5mm audio jack, digital microphones, speakers, WLAN and a 4100 mAHr single-cell Li-Ion battery.
