The iPad might have been one of the best selling products last year, but in 2011 things could change, as the device is followed by numerous other slates, coming in all shapes and sizes. Well, sizes aren’t THAT varied, as shown by the following infographic, that one of our tipsters showed us (thanks Johan).

As you can see, Samsung Galaxy Tab is used as an example of the tiniest slate (7 inch), but I would have gone with the Dell Streak and its 5 inch display instead. There are some devices crowded in the 7-9 inch area, like the BlackBerry Playbook or HTC Flyer and then there are the ones with a screen size similar to the Apple iPad: HP TouchPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (a bit bigger), the LG Optimus Pad and Motorola Xoom, that’s the equal of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (10.1 inches).

Will Apple launch another category of iPad, that will fit in the lower diagonal segment? We’ll find out in March!
