It’s time for the usual speculation regarding next year’s products from Apple… this time seen through the eyes of Ming Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. Apparently Apple will introduce quite a bunch of products next year.
The analyst has summarized the expectations in a brand new research note that talks about a 12 inch Retina MacBook and higher resolution iPad. In 2014 Apple will focus on MacBooks, iMacs and iPads, apparently. Kuo seems sure that Apple will introduce a 12 inch Retina laptop, a sharper iPad and an affordable iMac.
The 12 inch MacBook is expected to be smaller and adopt a new design. It’s supposed to launch in either Q2 or Q3 next year and integrate a 12 inch screen with Retina resolution, while the body of the device will adopt a new clamshell structure. The low cost iMac will help fight Windows desktops and it will ship in Q2 or Q3.
Finally, the iPad 6 will upgrade the resolution, maybe ship with a larger screen and the iPad Mini 3 will keep the Retina resolution, but change other features. What do you make of these predictions?
