Sony Mobile has announced the release date of its Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact slate on the Japanese market: November 7th. The product is expect to cost around $400 in Sony’s home market and this one is a waterproof and dust proof slate that was announced at IFA last month.
It runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat and has PlayStation 4 remote capability. Inside there’s a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, clocked at 2.5 GHz, while upfront there’s an 8 inch IPS LCD 1920 x 1200 pixel display. The back camera is an 8.1 MP stacked CMOS unit, while upfront there’s a 2 MP back illuminated sensor. This product has Bluetooth 4.0 support, NFC, WiFi dual band and 3 GB of RAM, plus 16 GB of storage.
The battery inside is a 4500 mAh one and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is expected to come in black and white. This model uses a nano SIM card slot in the LTE version and it measures 6.4 mm in thickness. It weighs 270 grams and comes with the usual Sony technology: X Reality, Triluminous and the typical custom UI.
