What better source than the horse’s mouth for a brand new tablet? It appears that the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is bound to get a big brother soon, a 10 inch slate that has been confirmed by the Sony planning board, or better said hinted at.
In an interview with the Japanese Business Publication House, Sony Board member Kurozumi Yoshiro, involved with the Xperia planning confirmed that Sony is going to introduce 4 inch, 5 inch and 10 inch devices, because of the demand for such formats. While the 4 incher should be the Xperia Honami Mini, the 5 incher will be another model in the Xperia Z series, but the 10 incher is the real surprise.
The new 10 inch tablet is supposed to be the successor of the Xperia Tablet Z and I have to say there’s no clue on whether or not it will run Android and how thick it will be. Sony has already gone waaaay below 7 mm in thickness, so I expect a slim slate, probably with Android 4.3, kickass audio and video, a good camera and hopefully a design that’s more appealing than a simple rectangle or folded magazine.
