Samsung is broadening the Galaxy Book6 family with a 14-inch model aimed at everyday mobile computing rather than the higher-end Core Ultra tier. Starting at $799.99 in the United States, the new Galaxy Book6 uses Intel Core 3 or Core 5 Series 3 processors, depending on the market, while retaining many of the connectivity and cross-device features that tie a Galaxy phone, tablet, and PC together.
The naming may cause some confusion: Samsung already sells a 14-inch Galaxy Book6 with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. This version creates a more affordable rung below those machines. In Spain, it starts at €849, compared with a €1,149 starting price for the 14-inch Core Ultra model earlier this year.
Built for portable everyday work
The new Book6 has a 14-inch 1,920 x 1,200 LCD panel in a 16:10 aspect ratio, a practical layout for documents and split-screen work. It weighs 2.98 pounds and measures 0.62 inches thick, with Gray and Violet Silver color options.
Configurations include 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 256GB or 512GB PCIe SSD; certain markets will offer storage up to 1TB. Integrated Intel graphics handle visuals, while the processor’s NPU delivers up to 15 TOPS. That is substantially below the NPU capability of the Core Ultra-based Book6 models, reinforcing this laptop’s value-focused positioning.
Ports and Galaxy features remain intact
Samsung has not cut back on physical connectivity. The laptop includes two USB-C ports, USB-A, HDMI 1.4, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, alongside Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. There is also a 2MP 1080p webcam for video calls.
A 61.2Wh battery is rated for up to 25 hours of use, according to Samsung. The company also says the 45W USB-C charger can replenish the battery to roughly 33% in 30 minutes.
For Galaxy device owners, the software feature set includes Quick Share, Storage Share, Multi Control, Second Screen, and Link to Windows. Those tools can enable a compatible Galaxy tablet to work as an extra display and provide PC access to files from a Galaxy phone.
The less expensive Galaxy Book6 looks geared toward students, general home use, and mobile workers who value a light 14-inch Windows laptop with a full port selection and Galaxy ecosystem integration. Samsung says the model is available in select markets and plans to expand distribution, though broader availability details have not been announced.
