New stuff keeps coming out during the Samsung-Apple trial and it’s not positive intel for any of the sides involved. Today we learned that Samsung actually lied to its investors about Galaxy Tab sales, selling half as many Galaxy Tabs as they claimed.
Back in January 2011 Strategy Analytics was reporting that Samsung had already shipped 2 million Galaxy Tabs, which means shrinking Apple’s market share from 95% to 75% in less than six weeks. Many news outlets took this report seriously and went with it, but in the end it wasn’t exactly like that.
This week a top secret document has appeared from the Samsung archives during the trial and showed that instead of 2 million Galaxy Tabs Sammy actually moved half that many. The attached graphic above should make everything clear. So, what else is Samsung not telling the truth about? And what about the investors who put more money into a business that wasn’t giving the expected results?
