Samsung has a special device ready to be advertised during the Super Bowl, probably the biggest sporting event of the year in USA. Some companies are willing to spend their entire budget on the 30 seconds of fame during the event. Traditionally products shown at the Super Bowl were successful… or big flops, but at least they were shown to the public in a very clear and straightforward way. Now it’s time for Samsung to make a push…

Apple’s iconic 1984 ad is the first one that comes to mind and usually Super Bowl tech ads are all about web services and less about hardware. Motorola Xoom had its own dozens of seconds of fame last year and what good did that do? Now it’s time for Samsung to announce “something”, possibly a new tablet, but most likely the AT&T Galaxy Note, according to speculations. The ad will air in the fourth quarter of the game this Sunday and if you want prices, know that a 60 second clip during the event is going for $6 million, while a 30 second one goes for $3.5 million.

The ad is promised to be “one of the longest” of the night, so Samsung is spending big bucks here. If it’s really the Galaxy Note, having tested the device I can say it’s worth it, but if it’s something else, like the Galaxy Tab 11.6, I’m even more excited about it… could it be the Galaxy S III in the end?
