Samsung launched a new notebook today in South Korea, with a very original design and form factor. The device is called the Notebook 9 Spin and it’s a 2 in 1 hybrid, that can be used as a standard notebook or tablet.

Notebook 9 Spin integrates a touchscreen display with a special hinge, that lets it be spun around and be used in 4 modes: tablet, kiosk, stand and notebook. An integrated sensor is in the mix, automatically adjusting the screen to the orientation. This product weighs 1.3 kg and measures 14.9 mm in thickness and while it may seem hefty, it does bring a full metal body and dual hinge.

Specs are generous, including a 13.3 inch Quad HD+ 3200 x 1800 pixel display, Intel’s latest chipsets and Quick Charge support, offering 10 hours of functioning after a 90 minute charge. Priced at $1,830 and up, this is certainly an expensive notebook, that just debuted in China and South Korea after reaching the USA last year.
