We’ve been covering the first Samsung Galaxy Tab M tablet for a while now, thanks to multiple leaks. Today the Galaxy Tab M62 comes to life again, through a series of live images. We also learn that we’re approaching its debut in India.
We fist heard about the device in December 2020, when production was supposedly on its way in India. These new live images reveal a device that seems more oriented towards a portrait use, rather than landscape. It also has a punch hole display and a large battery. Sources claim that we could even envision this device as a sort of bigger phablet, rather than a typical tablet. Tab M62 could be positioned in the Samsung lineup between the Tab A series and the Tab S series, price-wise.
The tablet is codenamed SM-M625F and will provide 256 GB of storage, plus 4G connectivity and 6 GB of RAM. It could sport a 7000+ mAh battery, which is something we’ve even seen on Samsung phones like the M12 recently. I expect a Full HD panel with an 8 or 9 inch diagonal, maybe even more. A microSD card slot is likely, plus Android 10 with One UI 2.x on top. There’s also talk of a lower end version with 3 GB of RAM and just 32 GB of storage. The price should be less than $250.
Samsung must be banking on the remote work and online school trends, since they’re inaugurating a new tablet series.
