Yesterday we informed you about the leaked Galaxy Tab E models, that weren’t supposed to adopt the same 4:3 aspect ratio of the Galaxy Tab S2 and Galaxy Tab A models. Well, today a new leak confirms that, revealing the Galaxy Tab E 9.6 model, with a 16:9 screen.
This device will come in a WiFi and WiFi + 3G version and it will adopt a 9.6 inch screen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Inside we may find an interesting CPU choice, a Spreadtrum SC7730SE, clocked at 1.3 GHz and coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. There’s a microSD card slot in the mix as well, a 5 megapixel back camera and a 2 MP front shooter.
The slate measures 8.5 mm in thickness and integrates a 5000 mAh battery. Android 4.4 KitKat is somehow the OS here, not Lollipop and there’s a Kids mode feature preinstalled. It seems the product is only meant for Eastern Europe and Asia initially and then Samsung will decide where to launch it next. This totally feels like a Galaxy Tab Lite replacement, right?
