Verizon recently started rolling out the Android Marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 model, an affordable tablet, that’s pictured below. The software release goes to version T377VVRU1BPD6 and includes both the Marshmallow features and a June security patch.
Android 6.0.1 is what the device will be running, complete with Doze, App Standby, Google Now on Tap, improved permission management and easier access to memory and storage from Settings. There’s also a Do Not Disturb Mode that has been revamped, Flex Storage and more. Verizon offers the update over the air, so in two days tops it should come.
The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 debuted in January this year with Android 5.1.1 and an 8 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display. It has a Snapdragon 410 CPU, 1.5 GB of RAM and a 5000 mAh battery. It also brings a 5 MP camera, 16 GB of storage and a microSD card slot.
