It’s a wonder that Samsung hasn’t launched any new Android tablets in 2016, probably still basking in the glory of last year’s quality Tab S2 slates. Today we learn some info about the Galaxy Tab E 7.0 affordable slate and we also discover a Galaxy Tab E Lite model is coming.
Samsung already debuted an 8 inch Galaxy Tab E device for US Cellular and recently brought the same device to Taiwan. Now they’re preparing a 7 inch version of the Tab E, named Galaxy Tab E 7.0 for now. It also goes under the codenames SM-T280/T285 and should pack a 7 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 1.3 GHz processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage.
It’ll bring 4G LTE connectivity and black is going to be one of the color options. Then Samsung will also debut a Galaxy Tab E Lite unit (SM-T113) and a Kids version of the very same product. We don’t have any launch time frame for these products, but they’re the kind of devices that arrive with a low profile and without a dedicated event. Expect low prices!
