Samsung has unveiled a new version of the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite in Russia, one meant for the kids. The device is known as Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Kids Edition. It comes preloaded with educational content and also entertainment for the little ones.
First of all, parental control features have been expanded, so the parents can limit how much time the little one spends with the tablet and the content they access. There’s also a kid-friendly interface and a special digital assistant, a teddy bear called Marusia. The young ones can ask it to tell them a story, play music or a game. Samsung has partnered with big companies for this product and they’re offering LEGO TV, a collection of fun videos, plus Brio World (a game), Pettson’s Inventions (edutainment), Toca Boca games and 3 Kikoriki games as well.
Galaxy Tab A7 Kids comes with a soft and beefy protective case with a big handle on the back side. Inside it has the exact same specs as the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite (Wi-Fi Only), with an 8.7 inch IPS LCD display, a Helio P22T processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot. The battery has a 5100 mAh capacity. Samsung Galaxy Tab A Kids will be available from Samsung Russia’s store and also local partners.
It starts at $205 and will probably also be sold internationally.
