After the T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 got the Android 4.0 ICS update, it’s time for the fresh software to also hit the Verizon version of the slate. The software version i905.LP11 is listed as “coming soon” and you get a minor changelog below with some details.
The new software package includes pinch to zoom functionality in the homescreen and main menu screen, integrated Google+ and integrated text to speech engine. There’s also a bunch of new features in the email client, as well as a redesigned gallery app with a photo editor in the mix, new sorting options, better photo studio and Picture Gallery widget. There’s also an improved camera app, with continuous focus, zero shutter lag exposure, stabilized image zoom, single motion panorama and built in face detection.
WiFi Direct support is finally included among the new features. The package takes up 248 MB of storage and will be available for download soon, so you should check out the specialized section for updates on your slate. And here’s to waiting for Jelly Bean to arrive…
