Samsung has just announced 2 new colors for the Galaxy Note II, Amber Brown and Ruby Wine. People have more pressing questions, like “where’s the black version”, but let’s not bother with that yet. I like the texture of the back of both new versions, as shown in the image below.

The brown one feels like real wood or some polished rock, while the red one is a very fancy hue that seems to inspire partying and party lights. For those who forgot the Note II and dream about the Note III, know that the phablet had a 5.5 inch HD Super AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel camera and a quad core Exynos CPU, plus 2 GB of RAM and a stylus with over 1000 pressure points.

Initially, the Galaxy Note II was unveiled in 2 colors at IFA 2012: ceramic white and titanium gray. Not sure how good the glossy finish is, since some people really prefer the matte finishing. We gave the Note II a pretty high mark here at Tablet News, since we really liked this powerful device, that can even replace a PC, at times.
