Remember the Samsung Galaxy Note? I’m sure you do, since our review here generated a huge number of hits and you people really appreciated it because if was so detailed. Now back to the device, this mini tablet or maxi smartphone has just hit the FCC, complete with LTE and prepared to take over AT&T.

This hybrid features a 5.3 inch 1280 x 800 display, a 1.4GHz dual core processor, an 8 megapixel camera and 16GB of internal memory. The OS of choice is Android 2.3.6 and I sure hope that Samsung is rushing that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, that would look brilliant on this device. There’s also a stylus in the mix and some dedicated note taking and drawing applications. The Galaxy Note that appeared at the FCC is listed with support for AT&T’s 4G LTE and support for GSM/EDGE bands 850 and 1900, plus WCDMA Bands II and IV.

No pricing or launch date has been mentioned by AT&T, but the FCC filing is certainly a hint that we’re approaching the launch date of the product.
