Yesterday we gave you the first information on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, a tablet meant for the little ones and today the device gets officially announced by Samsung. This unit comes preloaded with top notch kids apps and a brand new Kid’s Store.
The device is pretty much the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 with some tweaks, making it more child-friendly. The tablet weighs 302 grams, measures 9.9 mm in thickness and incorporates a 1.3 megapixel camera upfront and a back 3 MP shooter. There’s a 7 inch 1024 x 600 pixel TFT display incorporated and inside the slate we find a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, that helps it run Android.
Its storage is 8 GB, plus a microSD card slot that supports up to 32 GB of extra storage. We’ve also 1 GB of RAM and a Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery. The product comes with a Time Management feature that allows parents to set specific time periods for the use of the device. There’s also a Kids Case accessory involved, that offers kid friendly grip and multiple stand options. Galaxy Tab 3 Kids debuts in early September in Korea and then the rest of the world.
