Straight from the Shanzhai world comes a very interesting device, the RunTong A70, that serves as an e-reader, TV and phone, all into a single gadget. The slate uses a 7 inch capacitive screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and uses a MTK 6573 chipset.
There’s also a dual camera on board, with flash and on the graphics side we get a Power VRSGX531 GPU, for a smoother experience. This is a dual SIM tablet, for the record and you also get WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and mobile TV, in case you’re wondering. Commuters may find this device to be a gold mine, especially thanks to the TV features. Sadly, I have a feeling that the build of the slate is pretty weak and the materials feel cheap and I say that only by looking at the product.
I guess that the price is in the $150 – $250 range, if I were to guess… Let’s just hope that the battery is enough for a long commute.
