January 2013 brings us the first Russian tablet with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board: Ritmix RMD-1026. This is a dual core model with a Rockchip RK3066 Cortex A9 processor, clocked at 1.6 GHz. The tablet features a 6000 mAh battery, good enough for 6 hours of continuous usage.
It also packs a 10.1 inch display, an iPS one with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The Ritmix RMD-1026 is priced at $246, so it’s more expensive than the Nexus 7, that may be a bummer for some people. The tablet supports USB OTG, allowing connection of extra gear, such as 3G modems for example.
The product has a WiFi module on with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support, plus other features include a 0.3 megapixel front camera a main rear 2 megapixel camera. Finally, the Ritmix Jelly Bean slate has a HDMI port, microSD card slot, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of flash storage. I wonder if this model is available anyplace else, aside from Russia…
