Realme has been quiet in the tablet space for more than two years, but that silence may be ending soon. A new leak suggests the company is preparing to launch the Realme Pad 3, its first tablet since 2023’s Pad 2. The information comes from reliable tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, who claims the device is slated to debut in India either in December 2025 or January 2026.
If accurate, Realme’s tablet drought is about to end with a fairly straightforward lineup. According to the leak, the Pad 3 will ship in two variants — one with 5G and one WiFi-only — with both models sharing nearly identical configurations. The 5G version reportedly carries model number RMP2501, while the WiFi-only model is listed as RMP2502.
Realme isn’t shaking up its color palette: both versions are said to arrive in Space Grey and Champagne Gold, paired with either 8GB RAM + 128GB storage or 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. In other words, the only real decision for buyers may come down to whether they want cellular connectivity.
What’s still missing is everything else. There’s no confirmed information yet on the display, processor, battery capacity, or charging speed. But Realme will have to bring meaningful upgrades to stay relevant. The Realme Pad 2 shipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 chip — a 4G-only processor — along with an 11.52-inch 2K LCD panel (120Hz) and a sizable 8,360mAh battery with 33W charging. That was competitive in 2023 but feels dated now, especially as rivals like Xiaomi and OnePlus have been pushing better specs across the midrange Android tablet market.
A modern 5G chipset, a higher-quality display, and faster charging are the minimum expectations for the Pad 3 if Realme wants to reestablish itself in the category. The renewed focus on connectivity and larger storage tiers at least suggests the brand is aiming higher this time.
