It appears that the whole of BBK, the big company that owns OPPO, realme and OnePlus has gotten into tablets. Vivo too! realme is now preparing a sequel for the realme Pad, which launched back in September 2021.
The realme Pad 2 didn’t come in 2022, but it’s now ready for take off. The device is going to reach the Indian market, judging by its latest certification in the country. There’s a report coming from TheTechOutlook, stating that an alleged realme Pad 2 has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards.
The slate comes under two model numbers: RMP2204 and RMP2205. It means we could get a Wi-Fi unit and 4G one. The same model numbers have appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, revealing that they feature support for Bluetooth 5.3. We don’t have specs for the realme Pad 2, but we could predict them, on account of the realme Pad 1 specs.
The first realme Pad has a metal body, a 10.4 inch IPS LCD display with a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution and 360 nits of brightness. It supports various usage modes like Reading Mode, Dark Mode, Night Mode and Sunlight Mode. There’s a MediaTek Helio G80 processor inside, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Then there’s also a microSD card slot.
It runs on Android 11 with realme UI for Pad on top. Finally, it has a 7100 mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
