Pokini, a name that doesn’t say much it’s a company that in fact offers a lot of great device. This german company has just released a new tablet called Pokini TAB A8, a device that comes with a 8.3 inch Full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution), and IP65 certification for dust and splashing water protection.
We also find out that a 10-inch model will be introduced in this summer, more precisely in july. Getting back to the 8 inch model specs we can see that it packs an Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics with Direct X 11, a 32/64 or 128 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot up to 1 TB and a 8 megapixel camera on the back.
The tablet will also offer a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and a couple of sensors like an accelerometer, an electronic compass, an ambient light sensor and a proximity sensor. Optionally we can choose a 3G/LTE module. A great thing about this tablet it’s also the fact that we can use the screen with gloves as the tablet it’s certified for IP65 standards for dust and splash water protection. The battery of this tablet it’s removable and offers a lifetime of 8 to 10 hours.
Pokini TAB A8 it’s in the same time a dual-OS tablet that will run both Windows 8.1 or Android operating system. Optionally we can get Windows 7 instead of Windows 8.1. In terms of dimensions, the Pokini TAB 18 measures 227,8 mm in lenght, 150.1 mm in width and 12.5 mm in thiness. This device weighs about 500 grams with the battery installed.
