Pegatron has landed orders for some crucial Apple products, the one that will make or break their success for the following years. I’m talking about the next gen iPad Mini and the inexpensive iPhone…
Those two are rumored to come in August, according to Taiwan makers. Pegatron related sources have claimed that Apple is prepping an inexpensive iPhone with plastic chassis and next gen iPad Mini with Retina Display. In the first quarter of the year, Apple shipped 37.4 million iPhones and 19.5 million iPads, with the iPad Mini standing for about 12 million units and the 9.7 inch iPad for about 7 million.
The upstream supply chain will begin shipping components for the next iPad Mini and the new iPhones in July. Companies like Casetek (chassis supplier) are expected to benefit from these launches and orders. Strangely enough, it appears that the next mainstream iPad will appear in early 2014 and will be made by Foxconn.
