Device shipments grew 4.8% in 2013 and traditional PC sales will be stumped by growth of other devices, mainly tablets. Consumers and businesses have aligned the proper devices with the proper usage patterns. This means that we’ll see dedicated devices used as such, or hybrids fitting in the proper segment.

The slate market is saturated right now, but still the tablets are said to grow 38.6% this year, as adoption rates increase faster in markets outside North America. Up until now the American soil was crucial for tablet adoption, because of the Apple dominance. Other regions will start to matter as Android slates gain popularity. The iOS tablet growth has slowed in North America and Apple is required to launch new products.
