After being one of the first companies to launch a smartphone with a fingerprint scanner, Pantech is now preparing a brand new phablet with powerful specs. The device will debut on October 10th and it’s detailed below.
We will be dealing with a Pantech Vega Note unit with a 5.9 inch display and the company behind it has already started sending invites to the event next week. In the invite we can spot a hint of the handset’s design, with a strange marking at the back, that probably covers another fingerprint scanner.
This new model will use a stylus and aside from the screen diagonal and pen, it will have most of the specs of the Vega LTE-A. Those include a Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz quad core processor, LTE-A support (up to 150 Mbps), Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and 2 GB of RAM. I guess we’ll have to wait another week to see what’s behind that seal at the back.
