Panasonic wants to make a good impression in the tablet segment, so they’ve just announced the VIERA tablet series, that includes devices with small touchscreen LCD displays. Screens will range in size from 4 inch, up to 10 inch models and Android is the OS of choice for the series.
The products will be integrated with the Panasonic VIERA TVs and we also learn about cloud-based solutions for video streaming and e-books, also related to the new tablets. Prototypes of the VIERA slates will be displayed at CES 2011, with some of them being used as sub-screens for images and info, while watching content on television sets.
These tablets will also be shock resistant, support IPTV services, provide visual remote features and support social networking plus e-commerce.
