Panasonic is among the few companies out there who can brag about having a 4K tablet in its portofolio. This giant device will go on sale in January for $5,999, which may also allow you to buy a car…
The Panasonic Toughpad 4K tablet was a big deal at CES this year and I’m betting that the prototype from back then has evolved quite a lot over the past year. The full name is Toughpad 4K UT-MB5 and this 20 inch slate is rather a monitor than a slate, especially since it only offers 2 hours of battery life.
The debut in January will bring us a 3840 X 2560 LCD display and from what we know, this product is targeted towards photographers and professionals of all sorts. Since this is a Toughpad, we’re dealing with a rugged product, made from magnesium alloy and reinforced glass fiber. Panasonic built this unit to handle drops at various angles and heights.
Inside we find an Intel Core i5 CPU clocked at 1.9 GHz, 256 GB of SSD storage and 8 GB of RAM, plus an USB 3.0 port and SD card slot included among the specs.
