Is this an Acer tablet? That was my first thought when seeing the tablet below, priced at just $260 and sporting a wallpaper and format we’ve seen on Acer slates before. This model pertains to the Japanese Onkyo brand and it’s known as TA2C-74Z8.

That’s certainly a mouthful and not the most commercial name I’ve heard lately, to be honest. The device will be available on May 9th, with Android 5.1 as the OS and packing a USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0, as well as a microHDMI port. The battery inside will keep more than 80% of the initial performance even after 800 cycles of charging and discharging.

A special contact for charging is placed at the bottom, in the vein of the Smart Connector on the iPad Pro. Inside the Onkyo slate we find an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. We’ve also got a microSDXC card slot, a 5 megapixel back camera and a front 2 MP shooter. The screen is a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, we’ve also got WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1.
