OnePlus held a rather big event yesterday, one meant to debut the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro smartphone, but they also unveiled a new tablet there. It’s called OnePlus Pad Pro and we’re dealing with an unveiling in China for now. It’s got high end specs, like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU.
OnePlus Pad Pro features a 12.1 inch 3K display, with a resolution of 3000 x 2120 pixels, peak brightness of 900 nits and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It weighs 584 grams and has a slim profile, measuring just 6.49 mm in thickness. There are also eye protection features here, like DC dimming and low blue light. The device has an interesting aspect ratio of 7:5, the golden ratio, increasing the display area by 14%.
It even supports the use of a stylus, the Smart Stylus Pro. OnePlus Pad Pro has a metal body and uses quad speakers tuned by Viper and NetEase Cloud Audio. The software is the latest ColorOS for Pad, based on Android 14, with functions like 5G sharing, screen mirroring, NFC file transfer. At the back we find a 13 megapixel main camera with LED flash, while upfront sits an 8 megapixel front camera.
There’s also Bluetooth 5.3 here, Wi-Fi 6 and accessories include the Smart Stylus Touch Pro and a Smart Touch Keyboard.
The device is priced starting at $385, in the 8 GB RAM, 128 GB storage version. There’s also a high end version, with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, for $509.
