It seems that Nvidia isn’t yet done with the Android gaming segment, since a supposed new tablet of theirs has been spotted in an FCC filing. All we get is the schematic below and some rumors about the new slate.
The leaked model feels like a follow-up to the Tablet K1, sporting a similar form factor and a similar layout. The device measures 8.6 inches in length, 4.8 inches in width and 0.3 inches in thickness. The new Nvidia product weighs 12.3 ounces compared to the 12.6 ounces of the older unit. This will be a follow-up to the Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 and the diagram confirms the presence of speaker grilles on the edges and a cutout for the front facing camera.
Sadly, we have no clear specs list, but we do know this model will come with WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth Low Energy and a 5100 mAh battery. A microUSB port will provide the charging. It’s very likely we’ll see the Nvidia Tegra X1 processor inside and a pretty good price tag. We’ll surely learn more at Computex or the gaming shows of the summer.
