Presentation clips for new software and apps often reveal new products, so don’t be surprised when you see the clip below unveiling the new Nexus 7. It’s a presentation video for the new Hangouts app and its features and as the images integrated here show, they include a mystery tablet.
The format is similar with the Nexus 7 one and we seem to get a notification light at the bottom, typical for a Nexus device, but not for the Nexus 7. At the 21st second of the video below you can spot the mystery device, seemingly with a metallic case. The flashing notification light has been present on the Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus One and the ability to change the color of the notification and flashing speeds for various apps has been well received.
Nexus 7 next gen was rumored to appear at I/O 2013, but that didn’t happen and we’ve only got hours left for this to take place. The new model is rumored to pack a 1920 x 1200 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and it may debut in July, according to rumors. We will probably also get 2 GB of RAM and maybe an improved front camera and battery.
