Yesterday Microsoft had a special event yesterday, meant to debut the two new Surface 2 tablets. I’m talking about the Surface 2 slate with Win RT and the Surface Pro 2, that today have been made available for preorder in the UK.
Surface 2 comes in black or silver and it’s priced at $449 for the 32 GB unit. If you want the Pro version, it’s priced at $899. Both models will hit the stores next month, in case you’re wondering. Surface 2 integrates a Full HD screen, a USB 3.0 port, a 3.5 MP front camera and uses a Nvidia Tegra 4 processor.
Microsoft promised a battery life that’s 25% higher than the predecessor. The Pro 2 model packs a Haswell Core i5 1.6 GHz processor and it has a 30 Wh battery inside, that should offer around 7 hours of use on WiFi. The screen here is a 10.6 inch Full HD one and we’ve got between 4 GB and 8 GB of RAM inside, as well as 64 GB, up to 256 GB of storage.
Which model will choose, or would you rather wait for the Nokia Sirius?
