In a dubious choice, Apple decided to use Bryan Cranston’s voice for its latest iPad Air ad. The clip is shown below and it’s very well done, as are all the Apple clips, but the voice may be offputting, if you’re a huge fan of the Breaking Bad series.

It appears that Heisenberg has gone from selling meth to selling iPads, which are probably addictive as well. Anyway, notice how Cranston speaks kindly this time and uses a calm tone and slow paced sentences. The iPad Air packs a 9.7 inch Retina Display, a very slim 7.5 mm body and a 5 MP iSight camera. It has a 64 bit Apple A7 CPU inside and it weighs only one pound.

The product will hit the shops on November 1st, which is next Friday, so we’re 8 days away from the big debut. The iPad Air pricing starts at $499 for the WiFi only 16 GB unit and $629 for the cellular model. What do you think? Is Mister White a good fit for this ad or not?
