It’s Spring Cleaning time and with it a bunch of price cuts and discounts are happening in most online stores. Best Buy and Microsoft’s own store are no exception. The Surface Pro 6 is getting a very appealing price cut, by no less than $330. It now costs $990, with keyboard. Let’s check it out.
The Surface Pro 5 was also recently discounted to a mere $599 with keyboard included, by the way. Back to the Surface Pro 6, the device now costs $999 in the config that brings you 256 GB of storage. There’s a Type Cover accessory available as part of the package. The storage is SSD here and you also get 8 GB of RAM. The offer lasts till Saturday night on both Best Buy and Microsoft.
Inside the slate we find an Intel Core i5 processor and a battery that should offer up to 13.5 hours of functioning. The screen is the famous 12.3 inch PixelSense unit, with a resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels. There’s also stereo speakers in the mix, dual microphones, an audio jack and microSDXC card reader. Full size USB 3.0 ports are part of the package.
The kickstand lets you use the device in laptop mode, studio mode or tablet mode. Everything is crammed within an 8.5 mm thick device, with a 5 MP front facing camera capable of Full HD Skype video and an 8 MP back camera, plus dual microphones. There’s also WiFi a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1.
