Yesterday Microsoft announced the brand new Surface Pro 3 tablet and today preorders have been made available to the public. Users can now preorder the Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro Type Cover and Surface Pen in all markets where the device will be sold.
The only exceptions for now are China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan. You can get the product here if you live in the US and here if you live in the UK. Third party retailers will also have their preorders up soon. The Intel Core i5 versions of the Surface Pro 3 will come to US and Canada starting on June 20 2014. By the end of August, the Intel Core i3 and i7 versions of the device will also be available and all the Surface Pro 3 configs will debut in an extra 26 markets.
You will pay $999 for 128 GB Intel Core i5 Surface Pro 3 and the cheapest version is the Intel i3 64 GB one, priced at $799. There’s also the highest end one, a 512 GB model with Intel i7, priced at $1949. The slates come with 12 inch displays with 2160 x 1440 pixel resolutions, Windows 8.1 Pro, 4 GB or 8 GB of RAM, up to 9 hours of battery life and two 5 MP HD cameras at the front and back.
