Microsoft has debuted a new trade in program for the Surface Pro 3 tablets, one that lets the users trade in an older Surface slate and purchase a new Surface Pro 3, obviously for a more affordable price. The offer stands till March 8th.

The deal provides up to $650 in credit for trading in the existing Surface tablet. This credit can be applied to the purchase of a Surface Pro 3 and the promo is only usable on Microsoft’s online site and only in USA and Puerto Rico. There was also a deal in place that took $100 off the price of a Surface Pro 3 and the offer was supposed to end on February 7th, but it has been extended till the 28th.

The deal also added recently the 64 GB Intel Core i3 Edition in the mix, that was previously excluded. Back to the trade in, Microsoft is willing to go as high as $650 for trading the current Surface, but it all depends on the condition of the device and the model. The $650 is given for a 256 GB Core i3 Surface Pro 3 with the power adapter and Type keyboard.

This means the user is looking to upgrade to an i7 512 GB version for example. If you want to trade, you need to access this page to see how much your current gear is worth.
