Indian device maker Micromax has debuted a tablet for the children, a model called Canvas Tabby, that’s pictured below. It has a very affordable price tag of $102 and it’s dubbed a “dual mode family tablet”, featuring a special kids mode.

Canvas Tabby has voice calling features and it will be available exclusively on Flipkart for 3 weeks, starting with June 22nd. This is the first Micromax tablet focused on the kids segment and parents can switch from regular usage mode to kid-friendly mode fast. The product comes preloaded with educational content, that includes over 100 apps and over 500 videos.

Included here are educational and creativity apps, like Kids Paint Wild Animals, Kids Paint Vehicles, Kids Spell and Learn Fruits, Kids Spell and Learn Body and much more. The slate runs Android 4.4 KitKat and brings a 7 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, with a TFT panel and eye glare protection. There’s a dual core 1.3 GHz processor inside, 1 GB of RAM and dual SIM slots, plus 8 GB of storage and 3G connectivity.

GPS, a microSD card slot and 2 MP back camera round up the specs list.
