The LG G Pad series continues to evolve, in spite of the tablet segment not doing great lately. Thus, LG introduced today a new model dubbed LG G Pad III 8.0, that debuted on the Canadian market first and it’ll be available via local carrier Rogers.
The slate has an 8 inch Full HD screen, as well as an octa core 1.5 GHz processor, 16 GB of storage and a microSD card slot with support for up to 2 TB extra storage. There’s also a main 5 megapixel camera included, support for 4G LTE connectivity, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2. The device runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and weighs 309 grams.
It measures 7.9 mm in thickness and it comes with a full USB port, letting the users connect keyboards, mice and all sorts of other accessories. The CPU seems to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, not bad for a midrange tablet. The presence of LTE makes the device perfect for taking on trips and working on the go.
