The folks of Lenovo have made a detailed unboxing video of the IdeaTab S2110 tablet, also showcasing its keyboard dock. The result is a clamshell style notebook when the dock is attached. The locking mechanism of the dock seems more study than the one on ASUS Transformer devices, but also more bulky.
The tablet offers a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, stereo speakers and a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm processor, as well as 1GB of RAM. There’s a 5 megapixel camera at the back and a 1.3 MP shooter upfront. In the video they also detail the idea of IPS display and why it gives out better viewing angles than other technologies. Other things to know are the fact that the optional keyboard dock costs about $100, while the slate is $400 for the 16GB standalone version.
$430 is what you pay for the 32GB version standalone and that’s quite an interesting price. We also get to see the microphone, power switch in the video, the ports, that include a micro HDMI port, audio jack, a SIM card slot and a microSD card slot. There will also be a 3G model later on. Lenovo IdeaTab S2110 offers about 10 hours of battery life and even double that with the keyboard dock for an amazing 20 hours in total.
