I must admit I haven’t heard about the Lenovo Ideatab S2109 tablet, but it’s always good to see a new product out there, right? We’re dealing with a 9.7 inch slate here, one that uses the 4:3 format and relies on the IPS panel for screen technology, plus it supports a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution.

The tablet is relatively mysterious right now, but we know that it comes with a TI OMAP CPU, 1 GB of internal memory and a TI WiLink WL1281 chip for the wireless connections. This component handles the WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, plus the FM radio function. The OS of choice on the Lenovo Ideatab S2109 is Android 4.0 ICS and the device is also advertised as supporting Google Play and its 450k apps, plus an exclusive Lenovo app shop. This new Ideatab adopts an unibody chassis with a gunmetal finish and a 8.9mm waistline.

Upfront we find a 1.3 megapixel camera for videocalls and the specs of this model also seem to include a SRS Trumedia sound system with 4 speakers. Finally, as the clip shows, there’s a microSD card slot in the mix, plus a microUSB and micro HDMI port, for the usual connections, while on the battery side we get around 10 hours of functioning time.
