It appears that the ASUS Transformer Prime already has a rival, when it comes to tablets that can turn into laptops using keyboard docks. I’m talking about the Lenovo IdeaTab S2, that was shown at CEs and it’s a 10 inch tablet with a keyboard dock attachment and Android 4.0 as the OS. sadly, this is merely a dual core unit…

Lenovo unveiled this unit that’s a third of an inch thick and weighs 1.1 pounds and in case you’re wondering, it has the latest dual core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor inside. On top of Android we get the Mondrian UI layer and we get an incredible feat on this device: 20 hours of runtime, that if true surpasses the promised 18 hours of the Transformer Prime. Other details were kept secret but they’ll probably come to light once the tablet is given some hands on quality time with journalists at CES.

Lenovo also reminded everyone in Vegas about its handset, the LePhone S2, a midrange Android 2.3 smartphone that comes with an unique kernel security system. I wonder if we’ll also see a quad core tablet from Lenovo taking off at CES… I bet we will and I can also bet it will be a business model.
