The folks of Dynamism have a new tablet on their hands, a beast of a device called the KUPA Ultranote X15 and packing some impressive specs. This model packs 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and either an Intel Core i5 or an i7, 3rd gen Ivy Bridge. At the front we’ve got a 10.1 inch IPS screen with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio.

The interesting bit regarding the KUPA slate is that it has a sideloading removable battery. Plus, it comes with an active digitizer (digital stylus), that works with digital inking on Microsoft Windows and supports up to 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity. The X15 has WiFi and 3G (depending on the model you buy) and there’s also an optional dock in the mix, with keyboard and extra battery life. You also get an Ethernet port, VGA out, SD card slot and a USB port.

You can customize the KUPA Ultranote X15 with an external side panel that can get a bunch of modules attached. Those include a multi card reader, video recording device, projector, scanner bay and more. It seems that big companies have given up on the modular technologies over the past years, so we’re happy to see such products exist, every once in a while.
