Kno just announced that its single and dual screen tablets with E-reader features will be shipping right now. You have to know that these are educational market products, that support note taking and web browsing. The single screen version goes for $599, while the dual-screen one costs $899.

Orders are limited to invitation-only users, so we guess the stock was low or the demand was too high, or maybe both. These Kno slates remind us of the Microsoft Courier tablet e-reader concept, mostly because of their design. As far as features go, the slates are based on the Nvidia Tegra 2 CPU and they include a 14 inch display panel, able to do HD video playback.

Multitasking is also supported, as well as HTML5 web browsing on the Linux OS. The single screen device weighs 2.6 pounds, while the dual screen model comes with 32GB of storage and weighs 5.6 pounds.
