The new Kindle Fire HDX tablets are out there in the hands of reviewers and the first impressions and reviews are in. The products are shipping in late October and they’re getting a lot of praise these days. A lot of the Amazon success is due to this man, Jeff Bezos:
For example John Biggs from Techcrunch is saying that this is a great general purpose media device, although it’s not a device for everyone. The main drawback of the product is said to be the lack of apps available for the slate. Kindle Fire HDX was announced on September 24th and the 7 inch model starts at $229, just like the Nexus 7 2013.
The 8.9 inch version starts at $379. LTE connectivity is also an option for these devices, that come with 16, 32 or 64 GB of storage. Meanwhile the Kindle Paperwhite has also received some reviews, that call it “a pleasure to use”, thanks to the high res text and smooth navigation. The 2013 Kindle Paperwhite uses E Ink technology with a tech called Carta, with 50% better contrast.
