Apple launched its iPad Mini 6 lineup with the iPhone 13 last Fall and the tablet was pretty well received. Turns out that the iPadOS 15.5 has been generating some problems on the iPad Mini 6. There are multiple concerns about the Apple Books app and also about charging.
Turns out that after the upgrade some users have reported having trouble charging their iPad Mini 6 devices. After performing the update, concerned customers have reported on the Apple Support Community forums that they can’t charge their iPad Mini 6 anymore. The complaints indicate that no matter the power cable or adapter used, the iPad will simply not charge. Some users have tried restoring the device to the factory settings, but it didn’t seem to work.
The good news is that this is not a hardware problem, but rather a software one. Apple is said to be aware of the problem and it has started working on a fix for it. It’s not yet clear if the iPadOS 15.6 beta does anything to fix the update. That release is now available for developers and users signed into the Apple Beta Software Program. Apple is now advising service providers and retail staff to inform customers to restart the device as a temporary fix.
The iPad Mini 6, also known as iPad Mini 2021 comes with an 8.3 inch Liquid Retina IPS LCD display, an Apple A15 processor, a 12 MP back camera with dual tone flash and 12 MP selfie camera with ultrawide lens. There’s also stylus support, stereo speakers and a 19.3 Wh battery with 10 hours of battery life.
