I’ll remind you that about 2 weeks ago we saw the iPad 5 schematics reaching the web, together with some supposed specs and other rumors. Designer Martin Hajek used that information to create the renders you can see below.
Martin has been responsible with several other renders, including the one of the BlackBerry Z10 and iPad Mini before they were right and he got those spectacularly right. The iPad 5 is expected to be shorter, thinner and less long compared to the iPad 4 and iPad 3. It’s also expected to have those rounded corners of the iPad Mini and its very small bezels.
Schematics have shown that Apple is ready to shave about 1/4 of the thickness of the WiFi edition of the iPad 4 and the sources behind the leaks said that we should expect a 7.9 mm thick iPad, that measures 232 mm in length and 178.5 mm in width. One of the ways of making the device thinner is using a thinner display panel, choosing between Sharp’s Oxide TFT technology and the LG and Samsung LTPS panels.
