Some folks are so lucky… like Jeremy Horwitz, editor in chief at iLounge, who claims that he has inside info on the iPad 3. Actually, he even got to touch the rear shell of the slate, if we’re to believe his story. The iPad 3 hands on reveals some interesting aspects on the upcoming tablet from Apple. For one thing, the device will a bit thicker than its predecessor.

You won’t notice the extra bulk, but one thing you’ll do notice is the improved camera, that’s iPhone-like in performance, but most likely won’t include a LED flash. Horwitz also said that the camera is now bigger and it’s still placed in the upper left corner with a silver ring around the new camera hole. The same report details that all the device’s external features (Home button, headphone jack and dock connector) will stay the same as those on the iPad 2.

Other than that the design of the iPad 3 is identical to the one of its predecessors and I’m pretty curious to see the front of this baby. Let me remind you everyone expects the next iPad to be a quad core slate with Retina Display and maybe LTE connectivity. What are your expectations as far as the new iPad is concerned?
