The iPad 2 is proving to be a success in the UK, too, after becoming a major hit in the States. The device already sold out in tech stores in Great Britain in a mere day after its release. Available on Friday, the device was almost impossible to find on Saturday, according to Pocket-lint.
This new dual core Apple toy drew crowds of fans in front of stores, hoping to get their hands on the slim slate. Supplies don’t seem to be enough at this point, considering that the iPad 2 sold 1 million units in the first US availability weekend and who knows how many more after the international debut.
Right now there’s a 3/4 week shipping date for online orders in the UK, while shops have no clue when they’ll get the next shipment of such tablets.
